Despite the limited size of the island, there is a well preserved network of old cobblestoned streets and paths in Folegandros. The footpaths network is 20 kilometers long and runs through a big part of the countryside. These Footpaths of Cultural Interest, lead to destinations of historical, cultural or environmental importance.

The Folk Museum at Ano Meria is a representation of the lifestyle in a traditional farmhouse of Folegandros over the past centuries. You can see a house with its cellar, bakery, olive press, henhouse, cistern, threshing floor, paddock for animals and tall stone walls that protected the citrus fruits from the strong winds.

The museum is open to visitors during the summer months.

This is the largest church of Folegandros, dedicated to the Assumption. It is built on a cliff above the main town, probably at the location of an Ancient Temple. In the courtyard and inside the church you will see ancient inscriptions, sculptures and bases of statues. Also, there is a marble inscription of 1687 which refers to the renovation of the temple. Reconstructions of the church as we know it today started in 1816 and ended in 1821.

Inside the castle of Folegandros you can see the church of Pantanassa with the sculpted iconostasis and the icons of Jesus and Mary. From the yard of the church you can enjoy a unique view of the sea and even see the islands of Milos, Kimolos and Sifnos.

This is the harbor beach of Karavostasi. It is located in front of the houses and it is a family beach with shade from the tamarisk trees. There are bars, taverns and hotels near the seaside.

This is one of the most beautiful beaches with fine pebbles and crystal waters. You can reach it by boat from Karavostasis or, if you are careful enough, you can take the footpath that starts at Livadi (a 30 minute walk approximately).

This is a family beach with crystal clear water. It is accessible by bus or by car but also by boat from Karavostasis. Also, there are taverns and rooms to let.

This is one of the best beaches of Folegandros. It is located in the northern part of the island and is exposed to etesian winds. You can reach it by car (dirt road, 10 minutes from Ano Meria) or by footpath (45 minutes walk from Ano Meria).
