It is located 15 km from Kavala, at Krinides location. The site includes the Archaeological site of Philippi, the Ancient Theatre of Philippi, the Roman town  and some Early Christian churches.

Mount Paggeo is known for its rich natural resources, minerals and rare natural beauty. It is located on the west side of Kavala, on the boundaries of the prefecture of Serres.

The public forest has a total area of 11239.50 hectares and it consists of 5121.80 hectares of beech trees, 1955.92 hectares of beech - oak - chestnut - fir trees and broadleaved deciduous trees and 4161.78 hectares of evergreen broadleaved trees.

The Forest – Aquatic Ecosystem of Nestos River is located on the western side of Kavala and it is the natural and geographical border between Macedonia and Thrace. It is an ecosystem of international importance so it is protected by the international Ramsar Convention and it is included in the Natura 2000 network.

The Monastery of Evagelistria is one of the most remarkable monuments of North Sporades. You can still see the Katholikon, the cells of the south wing, the stove and the furnace. The monastery has frescoes dating back to the 18th century and a collection of relics (paintings, sacred vessels etc.) that will be exhibited in a small museum that will open in the monastery.

This is the most famous beach of Skiathos. The dense pine forest and the golden sand of the coast make the landscape look like a beautiful painting.
